Reservation for vaccination against Covid-19 can be made with private health establishments from Monday – Ministry of Health

KUALA LUMPUR (October 11): People living around the Klang Valley, who have not received a Covid-19 vaccination appointment or who have not yet received their second dose, can now get vaccinate free of charge in private health facilities other than government health clinics.

The Department of Health (MoH) said in a statement that this was being done through an adult vaccination reservation program, which began on Monday, at 98 selected private health facilities registered under ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd.

“Those who live in the Klang Valley, who wish to get their vaccination appointment, are required to make a reservation with one of these 98 private establishments,” the statement read.

The program is specifically aimed at the adult population, who have just signed up and have not received an appointment or who missed their appointment for the first or second dose, as well as other groups who will be subsequently announced by the Ministry of Health.

The program developed by ProtechHealth aims to improve access to vaccines in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur as well as to avoid wastage due to the uncertainty of vaccine demand.
