Pru Life UK partners with health organizations – Manila Bulletin


British life insurer Pru ​​Life UK has partnered with pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and two local healthcare providers to offer a group insurance package to businesses and their employees.

In a statement, Pru Life UK announced on Wednesday July 7 that it has partnered with UK biopharmaceutical developer AstraZeneca and health maintenance organization (HMO) providers Intellicare and Avega for a group insurance option.

As part of the partnership, Pru Life UK will provide the group insurance package, while Intellicare and Avega will offer their corporate clients and employees benefits including critical illness coverage.

On the other hand, AstraZeneca will lead the health and disease awareness content in Pru Life UK’s all-in-one health and wellness app called Pulse.

Allan Tumbaga, director of customer marketing for Pru ​​Life UK, said their company is proud to partner with two of the country’s leading healthcare providers, Intelcare and Avega, to bring customers the best products and services.

Meanwhile, Norman Amora, senior vice president of Intellicare, said their partnership offers clients holistic protection and prevention through outreach content developed by AstraZeneca, Pru Life UK insurance protection and services of Intellicare and Avega.

“This partnership creates a holistic ecosphere where we can deliver the best health and wellness programs to the Filipino workforce,” said Amora.

The group insurance package is designed to help Filipinos prevent, protect and delay the onset of disease, especially during a pandemic. It offers HMO benefits, life insurance benefits, accidental death long-term disability benefits, and terminal illness benefits.

It also offers Crisis Cover which covers 15 pre-identified serious illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes and cancer.

Full-time and active employees of Intellicare and Avega client companies have the right to access the plan.

Policyholders can also take advantage of Pulse Fit benefits, such as access to meal planning, health and wellness communities, exercise buddies, and online challenges.
